Kia Picanto and Rio have been refreshed
Known as Kia's 'little titans', the Picanto and Rio have benefitted from a recent revamp, with the five-door models benefitting from simplified model structures, extra equipment and new trim grades.
You'll be glad to hear that entry-level prices aren't changing at Hendy Kia, but you'll get much more for your money as the old '1' grade has changed to '1 Air' - it now includes air conditioning for both the Picanto and the Rio, meaning a cool and completely free upgrade.
In addition to '1 Air', the Picanto line-up comprises 'SE' and 'Sport' trim levels, with the former replacing 'SR7' and '2' grades and the latter substituting '3' and '4' grades. Sitting at the top of the range, 'Sport' gets new exterior trim and an athletic interior.
The Rio follows a similar pattern with '1 Air' starting the selection. This entry-level trim gains Bluetooth, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and front seatbelt height adjustment as standard. New 'SE' trim replaces 'SR7' and '2' grades, and '3' and '4' remain at the top of the selection.
'SE' trim builds on the equipment of the formerly named 'SR7' and adds automatic air conditioning, Kia's Intelligent Stop & Go (ISG) with the manual gearbox, front fog lights, a supervision instrument cluster, rain sensor, cruise control and speed limiter, plus electrically folding, adjustable and heated door mirrors with integrated indicators.
